How quickly can you get to me?
I keep slots free each day for emergencies. Non-urgent jobs are usually booked within 2-3 days.
Are you DBS-checked?
Yes. I have an up-to-date DBS check, and I carry ID you can ask to see when I arrive.
Do you charge by the hour or give fixed prices?
I specialise in straightforward jobs that take between one and three hours, such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, unblocking sinks, fitting toilet seats. For these, I'll give you a quote before I start, so there are no surprises. If the job turns out to be bigger than expected, I'll tell you before doing any extra work and agree the price with you first.
Are you qualified, insured and registered?
Yes, I'm NVQ Level 2 qualified in plumbing and heating, G3 certified for unvented hot water systems, a CIPHE member and fully insured. Just ask and I'll show you my certificates.
Do you do gas work?
No, I don't do gas work, as that needs Gas Safe registration. I cover most everything else plumbing-related, including taps, leaks, toilets, blocked sinks and unvented hot water systems, and can recommend a Gas Safe engineer if you need one.
Do you do bathroom or kitchen installations?
No, I don't fit full bathrooms or kitchens. I specialise in quick fixes and straightforward jobs that take between one and three hours, like repairing leaks, replacing taps, fixing toilets and unblocking sinks. Because I focus on smaller jobs, I can usually fit you in quickly and give you a clear price up front. If you're planning a full refit, I'm happy to help with small plumbing jobs around it, such as replacing a tap or fixing a leak.
